The Songmaker’s Lab is a fun, safe space for young musicians to explore their creativity and write songs they’ll be proud of.
Why Songmaker’s Lab?
Songmaker’s Lab is designed for young creatives (ages 8–14) who want to explore the art of contemporary pop songwriting in a supportive, inspiring environment. Students learn how to turn their thoughts and feelings into powerful lyrics, experiment with catchy melodies, and even create their own demo recordings.
From First Lyric to Finished Demo
Here’s a little glimpse into some of the things we’ll explore in the classes:
• Writing lyrics that feel real and true to you
• Creating catchy melodies and chord progressions
• Explore basic music production & recording technique
• Buildling confidence in sharing your music
• Collaborative and solo writing exercises.
A Safe Space to Create
We believe every young musician has a story to tell. Our supportive small-group environment helps each student find their unique voice, experiment freely, and build confidence. By the end of the term, students leave with songs they’ll be proud to share and the tools to keep writing long after class ends.

No prior songwriting or instrument experience needed! Whether you already play an instrument or just love singing along to your favourite songs, Songmaker’s Lab welcomes all budding songwriters ready to get creative.
