Our Singer Songwriter Sessions are designed for aspiring songwriters aged 14 and up who want to develop their skills in contemporary songwriting in a supportive, realistic and professional environment. Led by renowned songwriter and recording artist Phebe Starr, students will explore their creativity and be guided into develop their own artistic style.

Singer Songwriters will learn how to:
• Develop original songs from initial idea to finished piece
• Explore lyrical storytelling and emotional authenticity
• Learn how melody, harmony and rhythm shape a song
• Experiment with musical style and artistic identity
• Receive feedback and mentorship from a professional songwriter
• Collaborate and share ideas in a supportive creative environment
Students will learn that great songs rarely appear fully formed. They evolve through experimentation, reflection and creative bravery.

We believe every artist has a story to tell. Our Songwriting classes helps students develop musical understanding, emotional expression and creative confidence. Our supportive small-group environment helps each student express themselves creatively through music, experiment freely, and build confidence while giving students a strong sense of ownership over their music.
Whether students dream of being performers, producers or simply love creating, songwriting deepens their connection to music and supports their development.
What are the details?
(For children aged 14yrs and up)
No prior songwriting or instrument experience needed!
Whether you play an instrument or just love singing along to your favourite songs, all budding songwriters are welcome to get creative.
Fridays from 4:30pm - 5:30pm
Term 2 starts Friday 1st may
Classes include:
8 weeks of small group classes
Take home activities for further development
All Resources and equipment provided
Group sizes are limited to ensure each person gets lots of individual attention.
